Seasons Greetings 2017

News: Seasons Greetings 2017

The ATOS Directors, Support Team, and Volunteers thank you for your participation and support. We wish all a Merry Christmas and the best of holiday wishes to all.

As 2017 comes to an end, I am again looking back at a year of wonderful visits and exchanges with ATOS members, listening to some of the many wonderful theatre organs and organists playing today, thanks to the efforts of our many ATOS Chapters and their programing efforts. These events not only entertain our membership, but they provide one of the best methods to introduce others to the theatre organ. The ATOS website provides access to most chapter information here: http://www.atos.org/chapter-list,

During the next year I’m looking forward to continuing visits with many more members, events and locations providing a chance to hear old and new music around the “circuit” and learn about chapter activities and member interests. If possible, please plan on visiting with many of your fellow enthusiasts at the 2018 Annual ATOS Convention in the Los Angeles area of southern California this coming summer. Latest information is posted here: http://www.atos.org/2018-pasadena-convention.

For those wishing to help with the ATOS efforts and the organization’s furthering of the experiences with theatre organs, please consider joining the ATOS Board of Directors. The ATOS Directors Nominating Committee runs the election and is seeking members to be candidates for the Board. If you have managed a business or have been part of corporate America, your experiences and skills can provide valuable help. If you need more information see the inside cover of the Nov-Dec 2017 the ATOS Journal or contact Ken Double, kdatos(at)yahoo.com. You must submit your interest in candidacy by February 5, 2018.

As the calendar and tax year comes to an end, please consider making a one-time tax-exempt gift to ATOS in support of its many programs designed to promote the theatre organ. Membership dues cover less than half-of ATOS expenses, so every gift no matter its size, does make a difference. Complete donation information is available on the ATOS website here: http://www.atos.org/donations

We hope the New Year will bring many successes and further our common goals.
