3/12 Kimball - Weill Center for the Performing Arts
Organ
Location
This 3/12 Kimball is installed in the Weill Center for the Performing Arts. It was originally installed in the Orpheum Theatre in Madison WI, in 1927, and was originally a 3/9 instrument.
The Weill Center for the Performing Arts was previously the Sheboygan Theatre, which had opened in 1928. In 1996, the building was purchased and restored by a community theatre foundation, and transformed into the Weill Center. Previously, when it was still the Sheboygan Theatre, the building origionally housed a 2/7 Wurlitzer "Style E", opus 1828, which was sold before the theatre became the Weill Center.
