Allen MDS Theatre-III Allen digital - Kentucky Theater

Our chapter instrument is being rebuilt. It is a 3/18 Wurlitzer, formerly housed in The Kentucky Theater, Lexington, KY. It is Wurlitzer Opus 562 (1922), expanded by Wurlitzer in 1926 to become a Wurlitzer 260 Special. The Allen MDS Theatre-III is there temporarily at the theater until the Wurlitzer is finished and reinstalled. The organ is played regularly on Friday nights before 7:30 pm movies all year and on Wednesday matinees and 7 pm Wednesday evenings from mid-May through the first week of September.
