A Response to Questions Raised
As has been reported in the pages (three articles) in the current issue of Theatre Organ, and also on this ATOS website, the organization is beginning to take the first steps toward reorganization following the September retreat in St. Louis.
A recent Facebook posting offered some alarming statements, assertions and assumptions that were in error on every front. Social Media being what it is, quite a bit of commentary followed.
The response below will hopefully correct the wild statements made. And the updates on our program, entitled "Retreat Forward," will continue regularly on the website and in each issue of the journal.
Healthy discussion is good. The retreat certainly provided ATOS with a level of self-inspection that at times was uncomfortable - but necessary - as we correct long-standing issues in operations. No one on the board or staff will ever shy away from good questions as to why things are considered or why action is taken.
But off-the-wall fantasy attributed to unnamed sources will be responded to and corrected.
Thank you for your interest in ATOS. Please read our clarification below.
